THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN BASTORA
Dec 19 Serenade
Today evening, our ward went carol singing. Maria, our PPC coordinator, told me there are 20 families in our ward. We belong to the somudai called St Francis Xavier. Since the Parish priest, Fr Robin, asked that the Carol Singing Serenade be done ward-wise, we did not get many volunteers.
We assembled at Maria's place and started around 5.15 pm or so. We first sang a few carols at the Martins then at Maria's, after which we moved to Reagan's and from there to several other houses whose names I don't know yet.
A little uphill climb that got me quite winded and we reached the home of Lovina, who had alsi joined us for the carols. From there, we proceeded across the bund to my building Ganesh Apartments.
I took them to David's house since he was a newbie like me and therefore not known to Maria. From there, we ended our Serenade in front of my wing but they were too tired to climb up three floors. I invited them in, we spoke a while and then they left.
We have to present something at the Family Day celebration on 30 Dec in the church. I guess we will meet again for that. Looking forward to participating and interacting with the ward and somudai members.
